When trying to decide what type of weight loss pill to use, it can be an overwhelming challenge with all the information available today. There are many, many websites and stores all singing the praises of each product they wish to sell. Sometimes it is hard to differentiate between sales hype and actual, useful information. Maybe you have family members or friends who discuss their experiences, both good and bad, with diet supplements. To help you sort through all this information, I wanted to do a quick review of some of the top weight loss pills available.
We looked at some of the most popular weight loss pills to review. However, they are not in any specific order according to effectiveness or popularity.
Clinicallix -- this new weight loss pill is all the rage on the Internet today. Those who have used the product have given it great reviews. Some even say, it is has set a new bar for over the counter diet pills. It combines several ingredients which have a reputation for accelerating the process of losing weight. Something that may set it apart from others, are the several clinical trials it has gone through. In one clinical trial, the Clinicallix control group lost almost 30 pounds of fat more than the placebo control group. In fact, the numbers I saw during my research for this pill were as follows: placebo control group lost a total of 4 pounds, the Clinicallix control group lost a total of 31 pounds. Because this pill is so new, I'm not convinced anyone is able to see the full effect it may have, including side effects on the body. The possibility exists that it may cause whomever is taking the pill to lose weight too fast, which may have adverse effects on other health issues, possibly even causing them. However, it appears to be one of the most effective products at the moment.
Hydroxycut -- these weight loss pills have been around for awhile. Throughout the world of bodybuilding it has been a favorite for both professionals and amateurs alike. Much like other popular products, Hydroxycutis available over the counter without a prescription. For many years it was a leader among all dietary supplements for losing weight. When the ephedra caffeine stack (pills which contained both ephedra and caffeine) was banned by the FDA, its popularity was affected. This is because its main active ingredient is, or more appropriately was, ephedra. It began to regain some of its dominance in the market once it was reformulated to exclude the ephedra caffeine stack. It is important to be aware that the side effects some people experience are anxiousness, nausea, and the jitters. It does have a track record of being effective assistance when losing weight, especially when used with a proper exercise and diet program.
Phentermine -- these prescription weight loss pills are also known as Adipex, which is the original name for this medication. It is an appetite suppressant and a stimulant with similarities to amphetamine. Based on my experience researching this product, I have found it to be a very popular choice. On a personal note, I have been prescribed this medication, and have used it with very positive results. Under a doctor's supervision and a specific diet regimen, I have managed to lose approximately 50 pounds in seven months time. Because of its similarities to amphetamine and because it is a stimulant, there are side effects for many people when using this medication. During the first 1 to 2 weeks of product use, most people experience an increased heart rate, some anxiety, and the jitters. My experience has been similar. Once the body of adjusts to the new medication the noticeable side effects disappear. From my personal experience, I can say I find this medication to be effective when used properly.
